1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Beat Squad LLC ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the website at audio-edit.com (the "Service"). Beat Squad LLC develops and operates audio-edit.com. It is registered in the Republic of Armenia (registration No. 269.110.1224029), at Garegin Nzhdeh 17, Yerevan 0006. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
Our iOS app, Mp3 Converter & Audio Editor, is a separate product with its own privacy policy, linked from its App Store page.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Audio and Video Files
All audio and video files you load into the editor are processed entirely within your browser using the Web Audio API, WebAssembly and related client-side technologies. Your files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party servers. We do not have access to, and do not store, any audio or video content you edit. The same applies to recordings you make with the Record feature.
2.2 AI Tools
The Vocal Remover and Stem Splitter use a machine-learning model that runs in your browser. The first time you use them, your browser downloads the model files from audio-edit.com and keeps them in IndexedDB on your device, so they do not need to be downloaded again. Separation runs on your device, and your audio is not sent anywhere. Noise removal also runs locally, as WebAssembly.
2.3 Contact Form
If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address, topic and message you enter, plus your browser's user-agent string (browser and operating system version), which helps us investigate bug reports. The message is delivered to our support inbox by email. We use it only to answer you and keep it only as long as needed for that conversation.
2.4 Analytics Data
We use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to collect anonymous usage statistics. This includes:
- Pages visited and general navigation patterns
- Browser type and version
- Operating system
- Screen resolution
- Referring website
- Approximate geographic region (country/city level, derived from IP address)
- Session duration and page interaction events
Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users. Your IP address is anonymized before it is stored by Google. We do not combine analytics data with any personally identifiable information.
2.5 Local Storage and IndexedDB
The Service uses your browser's local storage and IndexedDB to save your current editing session (so it can be restored if you reload the page), preferences such as the waveform height and the chosen AI model, and downloaded AI model files. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Names, email addresses, or other contact details, except what you choose to send us through the contact form
- Account credentials (we do not require accounts or sign-ups)
- Payment or financial information
- Audio or video file content
- Microphone recordings (microphone access is requested only when you use the Record feature and is handled entirely within your browser)
4. How We Use Information
The anonymous analytics data we collect is used to:
- Understand which tools and features are most used
- Identify and fix technical issues
- Improve the overall user experience
- Make informed decisions about future development
Messages sent through the contact form are used only to reply to you and, for bug reports and feature requests, to improve the Service.
5. Third-Party Services
5.1 Google Analytics
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC. Google's use of the collected data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5.2 Cloudflare
audio-edit.com is hosted on Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.). Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical request data, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which loads only on the contact page, to block spam, and contact form messages are delivered by email through Cloudflare. 5.3 Google Fonts
We use Google Fonts to serve web fonts. When your browser loads fonts from Google's servers, Google may receive your IP address and browser information. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
6. Cookies
The Service uses the following types of cookies:
- Analytics cookies (set by Google Analytics) to collect anonymous usage statistics. These cookies expire after 2 years of inactivity.
We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or social media cookies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect the functionality of the editor.
7. Data Security
Because the Service processes all audio data locally in your browser, your files never leave your device during editing. The website is served over HTTPS to protect the integrity of the application code delivered to your browser. We do not operate user databases or store personal data on our servers.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Service does not require accounts, and the only personal information it can receive is what someone chooses to send through the contact form. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International Users
The Service is available worldwide. Anonymous analytics data may be processed by Google in the United States or other countries where Google operates. Messages sent through the contact form are delivered by email and stored with our email provider, whose servers may be located outside Armenia.
10. Your Rights
We collect very little personal information, but you remain in control of it:
- You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the browser add-on linked above or by blocking cookies.
- You can clear all locally stored data (local storage and IndexedDB) through your browser settings.
- You can use the editor without accepting analytics cookies, with no loss of functionality.
- If you contacted us, you can ask us to see or delete your messages through the contact form.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
