Last updated: March 24, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using audio-edit.com (the "Website") or our iOS application (together, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
audio-edit.com is a free, browser-based audio editing tool. The Service allows you to load, edit, process, and export audio and video files entirely within your web browser. No files are uploaded to our servers. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
3. Use of the Service
3.1 Permitted Use
You may use the Service for lawful personal, educational, and commercial purposes. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction.
3.2 Prohibited Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to process, distribute, or create content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service for the purpose of creating a competing product
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service or the servers and networks used to make the Service available
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service in a way that exceeds reasonable usage
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices included in the Service
4. Intellectual Property
4.1 Our Content
The Service, including its design, code, graphics, interface, and documentation, is owned by audio-edit.com and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved.
4.2 Your Content
You retain full ownership of all audio and video files you load into and export from the Service. We do not claim any rights over your content. Because all processing happens locally in your browser, we never have access to or possession of your files.
5. No Warranty
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
- The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
- The Service will meet your specific requirements
- Any defects in the Service will be corrected
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL AUDIO-EDIT.COM, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), STATUTE, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
Because the Service processes all files locally on your device, you are responsible for maintaining backups of your original files. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from the use of the Service.
7. Data Processing
All audio and video processing performed by the Service occurs entirely within your browser. No files are transmitted to our servers. We do not store, access, or process your audio or video content in any way. For details on analytics and cookies, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
8. iOS Application
If you access the Service through our iOS application, the following additional terms apply:
- The application is licensed, not sold, to you for use under these Terms.
- Apple Inc. has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or warranty for the application.
- In the event of any failure of the application to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) of the application. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the application.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the application or your possession and use of the application.
- Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms with respect to the iOS application, and Apple has the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
9. Third-Party Content and Links
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites. The inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
10. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. By continuing to use the Service after revisions take effect, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which audio-edit.com operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
14. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and audio-edit.com regarding your use of the Service and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
15. Contact
